The Terrell County Public Library is seeking a part-time (19 ½ hours per week) Library Assistant. This position starts at $7.25 per hour with no benefits. Minimum requirements are a high school diploma or GED. Library experience preferred but will train the ideal candidate. Strong computer skills are absolutely essential for this position, as is a proficiency with other office equipment. The candidate for this position will perform a variety of library clerical and technical duties in assisting the regular staff in the day to day operation of the library. This job will include the following tasks: keeping circulation desk, assisting library patrons, checking in/out library materials, shelving books, DVDs, and other duties as assigned.
